MG Hector Plus Launched

MG has launched the 6-seater variant of Hector called the Hector Plus which start from ₹13.48 lakhs (ex-showroom). This is an introductory price till 13th August, post which company will increase the price up to ₹ 50,000/-

The 6-seater SUV comes with a whole lot of features to impress the buyers apart from providing extra seating at the back.


The MG Hector Plus has styling similar to the 5-seater version with slight tweaks. Upfront, it gets a new LED headlights house floating indicators and LED DRL’s in the revised bumper.

From the side, its increased length can be seen. Also, the doors run till bottom.

At the rear, tailgate, LED taillights and the bumper have been redesigned. Also, the red strip that connected the rear lamps has been removed.


The interior has received changes like brown leatherette upholstery, second-row caption seats with arm-rest and obviously a third row of seats.

The MG Hector Plus gets a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Andriod Auto and Apple CarPlay and a 7-inch digital driver’s instrument display. The driver seat is 6-way power-adjustable, while the co-driver seat is 4-way power-adjustable.

The Hector also comes with over 55 connected car features including navigation, voice assistant, vehicle scan, roadside assistance, eight speakers and tweeters, apart from a subwoofer and an amplifier.

Also on offer is a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamp, leather-wrapped steering wheel and a powered-tailgate with smart swipe function.

Ground Clearance: 192 mm

Boot space is 155 litres with all the three rows up and 530 litres with the third row down. The fuel tank capacity is 60 litres.


There are two engine options, 1.5-litre turbo petrol which produces 143 PS and 250 Nm of twisting force. There is a mild-hybrid version of petrol that produces the same figures. Gearbox options are DCT for petrol and a 6-speed manual for the petrol hybrid.

There is a 2.0-litre diesel that puts out 170 PS and 350 Nm that is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.


It includes driver aids including six airbags, ABD, EBD, ESP, TCS, hill hold control, tyre pressure monitoring system, front parking sensors, 360-degree camera view and an electric parking brake. There are six colour options
