Mercedes-AMG has just revealed the long-awaited GT Black Series sportscar. It is powered by the most powerful V8 engine by AMG. The vehicle is fully track-focused. Rivals of the GT black series are Porsche 911 GT2 RS and McLaren’s 600LT.
GT Black series os powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that produces 730hp and 800Nm of torque. The Black Series V8 has many upgrades over the standard GT. The vehicle goes from 0-100kph in just 3.2sec, 0-200kph in 9.0sec and a top speed of 325kph. Power is channelled to rear wheels only through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The transmission has also been worked for better gear shifts. It also features the Race Start function.
The Black Series has been sent to the gym for some weight loss. It’s bonnet, roof, tailgate, transmission mounts, body stiffening structures are made up of carbon fibre. There are 9 modes for traction control.
