2021 Skoda Octavia has been spotted while on test in India. The previous generation Octavia was not upgraded to BS6 norms. The next-generation model is expected to come with a turbo-petrol only.
The car looks new and fresh with its new generation. It gets LED headlamps with DRL’s, LED fog lights and chrome surrounded grille. The bonnet has creases giving it a muscular look. Wheels appear to be 17-inches, while the ride height has also been increased for India. It gets LED taillights at the rear with the brand name written on the boot-lid. It is likely to get a dual-tone interior.
The 2021 Skoda Octavia is based on the revised MQB platform. It is 19mm longer and 15mm wider than the old Octavia.
It will get a 10.25inch Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster, a heads-up display, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, gesture control, connected car features, climate control and wireless mobile charging.
It is likely to get two turbo-petrol engines. The bigger one being a 2.0-litre TSI unit producing 190 HP, mated to a 7-speed DSG. The smaller unit might be a 1.5-litre TSI with 150 HP mated to a manual transmission for the lower variants.
