Tata is expected to launch the three-row version of the Harrier named as the the Gravitas early next year.
Tata Gravitas will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 170 PS and 350 Nm; a six-speed MT and a six-speed AT will be offered.
The production version of the Gravitas was shown at the 2020 Auto Expo and it has been repeatedly spied testing on public roads.
The Gravitas looks identical to the Harrier from the front, the differences are mainly visible from the sides where it is extended to accommodate more space for the third row of seating.
The Gravitas will help Tata in expanding the Harrier’s range and it could carry a sticker tag of around Rs. 18-23 lakh (ex-showroom).
Let’s see if Tata take’s this opportunity to introduce four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive to the Gravitas or Harrier. We would love to see the capabilities of the Harrier or Gravitas off the road.
Meanwhile, Mahindra too is working on the new XUV5OO which will be the main rival to the Gravitas.
Let‘s see who nails it.
