A prototype of BMW’s next-generation 5-Series has been spotted for the first time.
The new sedan is at an early stage. Some highlights like slimmer headlights is instantly noticed.
Power trains should include mild-hybrid, plug in hybrid and battery-electric options. Such flexibility is made possible by the latest version of BMW’s CLAR modular platform, which supports conventional power trains and addition of hybrid and battery electric options. Reports state that the Future M5 will also have plug-in hybrid as an option.
The New 5-Series will debut in 2023 while the M5 is expected about six months later.
